The battle is not yours, but God’s.

“Fear ye not stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord,. . .The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.” Exodus 14:13 Fear, 14.

I am an individual spiritual consciousness. I live and move and have my being in God, as His image and likeness, His idea, the reflection of His being. I live to manifest His qualities at this moment, neither past nor present, but in the eternal NOW. That is who I am, same as you.

When I trust matter, I feel insecure. When I abide in God, I always feel secure, as I learned that a spiritual perception has the power to prevent and defend from evil.  That does not mean I will never get caught up in some human disaster. It does mean that I will be able to navigate this experience and trust that I can come through it unscathed no matter what crosses my path. Even if my leg gets cut off, it will not determine who I am as God’s child. His child is not a material form. God’s likeness is immortal and spiritual, perfect in its expression.

Imagine this: this existence manifests what we believe is true, a projection or hologram, if you will. I found I could change this image if I changed what I believed was real. That is where we work out our salvation.

Think about the hologram, it looks like a human, but it has a sensation-less body. That is the spiritual body, the likeness of God. If it hurts, that is because of the way we re-programed it with our beliefs. If we believe when we hit our finger with a hammer, it hurts, then the hologram will hurt. If we know that the finger is a spiritual idea of God and reflects His perfection, it will not hurt. There can be no imperfection in perfection. The hologram is spiritual and perfect, programmed by God. It is when we try to alter that programing that we have problems.

We live in a mental universe, constituting nothing but thoughts. We are ideas of God, not biological organisms. We need to be “willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” (II Cor 5: 8)

Jesus proved many times the ability to change a mistaken belief regarding sin, sickness, and death. In more recent history, religion omits all but the power over sin.

“Jesus taught but one God, one Spirit, who makes man in the image and likeness of Himself, of Spirit.” S & H 94:1-3 “We must seek the undivided garment, the whole Christ, as our first proof of Christianity, for Christ, Truth, alone can furnish us with absolute evidence.” S & H 142:4

I learned if I aligned myself with God as Jesus did, as He said, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” (John 14:12) His works were natural to him and should be natural to us. When I get self out of the way, I have been able to witness God’s, spiritual man.

When I started my spiritual studies, what I experienced physically seemed so real that it was difficult for me to conceive spiritual possibilities. I had to learn to quiet my senses before I could hear God’s message. That is when spiritual intuitions and new ideas kicked in and saved the day. As I learned and accepted that I was God’s idea, image, and likeness and that anything that doesn’t fall within those parameters is a mistaken idea of who I am, my perception of reality changed. I began to experience the spiritual universe here and now. As we all know, a mistake can be erased and replaced with a correct answer.

I was learning, as stated in II Chronicles 20:15, 17, “Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s. … Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you,” All I had to do was my metaphysical work, state the spiritual truth, regarding God’s creation, in prayer, and then get self out of the way, and let God do his work.

I had a hard time letting go. I always thought I had to be up and doing, but I learned there was a time to sit back and be a witness. What a wonderful feeling to witness God doing his work, to see right before my eyes discord turned into harmony.

I learned to reverse, in my thought, any negative situation that crossed my path. When I succeeded, the situation changed. Sometimes I had to work hard before that reversed thought became real to me. That was the key, and I had to understand and believe it. I could not just reverse it; I had to reason through it and understand what made it true. When I reached the point of changed belief, without doubt, based on revelation and understanding, the situation changed for the better, and I witnessed God’s creation.

It makes me wish I were more like Jesus. He did not have to work on it. He was born with absolute certainty of who he was as God’s child and what that meant.

“Right here, right now, this is God’s creation. When I see it as a physical universe, I will see the discord. Much of the discord in my life is gone. Although, things continue to crop up that need attention. To see God’s creation all the time requires 100 % of the human race to be in alignment with God. Unfortunately, I don’t see that happening soon.

We need to individually work to keep our own space spiritualized and let the ripple effect work on reaching others. I try to be a good example, but oft times “Our good will be evil spoken of.” It happened to Jesus, so I’m not surprised when it happens to me. I try never to respond to negatives.

“… let us not be weary in well-doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.” (Gal 6:9 let,10)

We can never be outside of God’s care, but we need to know it and feel it and then witness God’s love for us.

One morning while showering, I put my shoulder out of place, and the slightest movement caused intense pain. I sat down and held my arm perfectly still, and started to pray. At first, my prayer was rather clumsy but soon began to take form. I realized that as a spiritual being, God’s idea, I was always in my right place, and I had a God-given right to experience right place no matter what the circumstances were. As I prayed along those lines, I felt a small painless pop, and my shoulder was in its right place, and I went about my day in perfect harmony with God’s creation. My day was filled with beauty, and everything was in perfect alignment with God. I love those days.

But then there are days when unpleasant things will cross my path, such as an accident, someone doing something unkind, or a child in distress. I reverse that scene in my thought and change my perception of what is true in God’s creation. Accidents are unknown to God. God’s likeness cannot be unkind, and children are innocent and pure, and joy is their reality.

Changing my perception does not immediately reverse the circumstance as I am not responsible for others’ perception of reality. Of course, there are times I am led to step in and give human comfort and assistance. On occasion, I do see God’s creation in these circumstances. I have seen people walk away from a terrible accident without a scratch. I have seen an unkindness turn around, and a child’s tears turn into a smile. These are the little ways that make a difference in my experience.

When we see God’s creation from His point of view, what we call a miracle happens. Miracles are the natural outcome of seeing God’s creation and refusing to accept a mistaken perception of a world, unlike God. As I mentioned before, any mistake can be erased and replaced with a correct answer. That is what reversing does.

At times it may seem like we are caught in a vicious cycle, a loop if you will. We see what we think, and we believe what we see. We need to break the cycle of mesmerism. When I aligned my thought with God’s creation and believed what I saw then, my life was much happier and peaceful. I love life now.

God created for us a wonderful, beautiful universe. Please see it from His point of view and let the ripple effect spread throughout our world and bring us peace.

Love you all, Michele.
